Effective May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is in effect. At Childcare Katwijk , we take this extremely seriously. Not only because we have to comply with the new privacy legislation, but also because we believe in handling privacy-sensitive information correctly and with respect. In this privacy statement, we provide clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data.

Personal data we process

Childcare Katwijk processes your personal data (from parents/caregivers and children) because you use our services. This includes the following data:

  2. Gender
  3. Phone number
  4. Email address
  5. Date of birth
  6. Address
  7. Residence
  8. Bank account
  9. BSN

We also process family status information, data on your child's care, nutrition and health, and ask your permission to use photos of your child for marketing purposes.

We process personal data to enter into and fulfill the agreement.

Who can view personal data and where it is kept

The personal data of parent/guardian and child are accessible only to those employees who must have access to them in connection with their duties. The personal data are recorded in our automated administration system Jaamo and in our secure working environment Citrix. Files are stored in locked cabinets. Childcare Katwijk has taken technical and organizational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security.

How long we keep personal data

Childcare Katwijk retains your personal data no longer than strictly necessary for the performance of the agreement. After the termination of the agreement, only the personal data mentioned previously under points 1 to 9 are kept for 7 years based on our legal and tax obligations. Thereafter, this data will be destroyed.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Childcare Katwijk shares your personal data with third parties as necessary to perform the agreement and to comply with its legal obligations. With third parties who process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure at least the same level of security and confidentiality of your data as at Childcare Katwijk. Childcare Katwijk remains responsible for these processing operations. These include inspection and control bodies and providers of systems necessary for our business operations.

Marketing and communications

Childcare Katwijk uses a website, Facebook page, digital information and printed materials for marketing purposes (e.g., advertisements and brochure materials). During the intake interview, parents are specifically asked for permission to take and use photographic material of their child for these purposes.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to have personal data transferred from Childcare Katwijk . You can send a request to view, correct, delete or transfer your personal data to privacy@kokkinderopvang.nl. We will respond to your request within 7 working days.

How we secure personal data

Childcare Katwijk takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. All our employees and any third parties performing work for us are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the personal data of which they have knowledge.
