Requesting an extra day of care
If you need an extra day of care for your child, you can request an extra day. You can submit your request digitally through the Parent Portal.
When requesting an extra day of care, please consider the following:
- Taking an extra care day is only possible if the group size and staffing levels allow it. This is assessed per request. We cannot guarantee that there will always be room.
- From two weeks before the desired day of care, we have insight into the occupancy of the group and will inform you whether there is room for your child. Do you request an extra day within two weeks? Then we will inform you as soon as possible.
- If the extra day of care involves additional costs, for example related to transportation, these will be passed on to you. You will be informed of this in advance.
- You can cancel an approved extra day of care free of charge up to 7 days before the respective day of care. After that, it will be charged.
- Unfortunately, exchanging care days is not possible.
Credit Hours
We are closed on national holidays. To compensate you for any missed care on holidays, you will receive credit hours from us. The number of credit hours depends on the number of days per week you purchase from us. If you purchase 1 or 2 days/parts you will receive 1 day/part in credit hours. If you purchase 3 or more days/parts you will receive 2 days/parts in credit hours. You can find your credit hours in the Parent Portal. The credit hours are allocated to you per calendar year and expire at the end of the calendar year. If you do not use care for the entire calendar year, the credit hours will be calculated on a prorated basis. The allocation of credit hours applies to all 52 and 40 week packages.
When you request an extra day of care, the credit hours are automatically deducted. If you run out of credit hours, the extra hours taken will be charged to the next invoice.
